Principle of operation.

The P5 samples plant polymers in powder or pellet form and, by using a unique method of conditioning and re-melting, feeds the polymer to a gear pump. The pump precisely meters the polymer to a temperature controlled die through which pressure drop is measured and rheological information is derived such as viscosity and MFI.
