The Porpoise P9 and P9b Intelligent Rheometers have been marketed. They are
the result of the requests made by users worldwide. The P9 covers the top of the
market, and the P9b covers the middle of the market. Porpoise act as advisers to those who are at the entry level and are coming from
MFI and would like more information on their materials.
Porpoise have engineered these Rheometers to be top of their respective
classes using high quality modern components. They are also offered at very
competitive prices due to the focused nature of the Porpoise company.

Porpoise are easily number one when you consider all three aspects.
Rheology is a specialised market with a history of innovation. There is a
reasonably large installed base of lower cost and old instruments worldwide. As
you increase in capability, the price increases and the number of installations
drop considerably. This brings out three main considerations when considering to
purchase new equipment :-

This can only be achieved using new innovative technology. The Intelligent
Rheometer is built on pedigree and gives more than any other system supplied
before.
The Porpoise P9 is the world's most powerful rheometer. The P9b is the
world's most powerful bench top rheometer. Both give FULL speed at full
load. Note that many manufacturers quote values that cannot exist at the same time
( eg maximum speed at much reduced force ). The Porpoise values shown are for
the basic system and are minimum, obtained under any conditions. Higher
performance options are available on some parameters.
